Somewhere a Forest is a charming narrative, one well conceived and impeccably written - a collection of stories about the adventures of Jason the Rabbit and his friends who all live in a magical forest. Each story cleverly presents its own "lesson to be learned" and is a delight for readers of all ages, young and old alike.
If you are searching for a new and informative book to share with
your children you have hit the jackpot. The animals in the forest
are delightful. Each story teaches you how you can be a better
person and even makes all of us actually want to be better. As an adult
it will remind you of how wonderful it was to be a child. Both you and
your children will look forward to the next bedtime story.This author is
unique and fun.
A rejuvenating read for all! The author using wildlife makes all of the pivotal correlations for those who accept Jesus to richly look forward to a continued life in eternity that is beyond description. Dr. Griscom's word-play of using lots of puns and alternate spelling in his verbiage will give his audience many grins. Dr. Griscom is the nicest man that one could ever meet in a lifetime. Aside from his hallowed reputation as a top tier Doctor and church elder from Nashville, TN., he has enjoyed renown success at the golf course in his youth and as a Grand Life Master in high level tournament bridge.
I am not a great fan of “Christian” Books. They often come across as confrontational missions demanding more fielty than belief.
And then I read “Somewhere a Forest” by Dr. John H. Griscom and, well, I am saved.
It is a mercifully wonderful book of short stories, rabbit tales. It is a child’s book for grown-ups who want to smile at and join the creatures of this wonderful world we live and love in. I am an official fan of a rabbit named Jason and a gray wolf who acts like Christ.
